NEET PG 2023: The great exam is on 5 March 2023

NEET PG 2023 exam date has now become a point of focus with questions brimming about the date for conducting the test. NEET PG 2023 is to be held on 5 March this year.

It is interesting to note, the talk about change in the exam dates of NEET PG 2023 has been doing rounds for quite some time now owing to a few developments that have taken place recently.

NEET PG is expanded into National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Post Graduate, it is conducted once every year for providing admission into postgraduate medical courses in colleges located across India. NEET PG 2023 is meant to be held in 2023.

Fake notice on NEET PG 2023 exam date

A fake notice has been doing rounds on social media platforms claiming that NEET PG 2023 exam date has been changed. Dates for organizing the exam is 5 March 2023 as per the original schedule.

The notice on social media claims the NEET PG 2023 would be conducted on some other date. However, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India had said that the exam has not been postponed and will be held on the date that was decided earlier.

The sources said there was no truth in the claims made in the fake notice and authorities have also urged students not to fall prey to such false news. As per the fake notice, 21 May 2023 and as per the original schedule, NEET PG 2023 is to take place on 5 March 2023.

Similarly, the registration for NEET PG 2023 as per the fake notice is to take place from 7 February to 25 March 2023, when the real circular says the registration for NEET PG 2023 is from 7 to 27 January.

The differences in the dates have managed to generate some confusion only to make people consider the prospects of a change in exam date. There is more to it than meets the eye.

Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar in the national capital turned into a centre of attraction as a group of doctors and NEET PG aspirants held a gathering there demanding the postponement of NEET PG 2023.

The demand was to postpone the exam to May or June. The postponement will give them time to study well for the exam, which would help them give a good performance in the test.

Protestors comprised members of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) and NEET PG aspirants. The delegation of FAIMA met the Union Minister of Health Dr Mansukh Mandaviya on 31 January.

They were supposed to meet the Minister on February 5 again. The members could not meet the Minister again, and the protest was held.

Conclusion

The developments may have led to speculations about the change in the date for conducting NEET PG 2023. It is also interesting to note that the cutoff date for completion of an internship for the purpose of eligibility for NEET PG 2023 has been further extended to 11 August 2023.

Speculation may be there with regard to the exam date of NEET PG this year, however, there has been no announcement from the authorities concerned in this connection. This can only mean that NEET PG 2023 is likely to be conducted on March 5 2023 as per the earlier decided schedule.
