IGNOU 2023: A great boost to journalism

IGNOU has launched new courses related to journalism and they are master’s level courses. Students who want to study journalism and media-related courses can focus on them. These programs would be offered from January 2023 admission cycle.

Courses are MA in Development Journalism, MA in Journalism and Electronic Media, MA in Journalism and Digital Media, and PG Diploma in Advertising and Integrated Communication. These new courses of IGNOU will be offered through open and distance modes.

It is interesting to note that IGNOU which is expanded as Indira Gandhi National Open University was opened in 1985. The inception of this organization gave a big boost to education. Higher learning became reachable to various sections of society.

How to apply for these courses at IGNOU?

The process to apply for these programs is online and applicants can visit the official website ‘http://www.ignou.ac.in/’ at the appropriate time. Soon after the website downloads on clicking the earlier mentioned URL, candidates can click the link related to courses and choose the newly launched programs.

Once the list is displayed, applicants can choose the program of their choice and then know all the information about it. The process to apply can be taken up after knowing all the details about the program of IGNOU.

The registration link has to be clicked, and then the account has to be created to obtain a username and password. Post account creation, candidates can log in and then start applying for the course by IGNOU. The application form can be filled out, fees have to be paid and then the form has to be submitted.

Post form submission, candidates have to wait for a confirmation message indicating successful submission. Once the message is obtained, it can be downloaded, and then a printout of it has to be taken. The printout has to be preserved for future use.
