Education sector: JEE Adv great halltickets ready, PM to address convocation

Education sector in India is buzzing with lot of activity in the recent times. The latest activity worth noting is the release of hall-tickets (admit cards) for JEE Advanced 2020 exam.

It was only recently that Education sector in India witnessed a great activity. The JEE Mains April/September 2020 exams were conducted from 1 to 6 September for which over 6 lakh candidates had attended.

Education sectorThe subsequent release of JEE Mains 2020 results also attracted the attention of people keenly following the Education sector in this country.

About 8 lakh candidates registered for the JEE Mains April/September exam whereas, about six lakh candidates attended the exam.

Post JEE Mains 2020, focus of people following Education sector shifted to JEE Advanced 2020 exam.
Sources focusing on Education sector say the registration for JEE Advanced 2020 was from 5 September to 17 September.

The registrations for JEE Advanced for foreigh candidates began from 5 September. The same for Indian candidates of JEE Mains April/September 2020 qualified applicants began on 12 September.

The last date for application submission for both foreign and Indian candidates was 17 September. JEE Advanced exam will be held on 27 September.

Sources keeping track of Education sector in India say about 1,60,864 applicants have registered for JEE Advanced exam.

As per the usual trend, admit card for JEE Advanced 2020 has been also been released. Usual trend is to make hall-ticket available for download about 5 to 15 days before the exam day.

Students can visit the official website for the JEE Advanced exam to download the hallticket.

Sources following Education sector said the official website for the exam is ‘https://jeeadv.ac.in/’ Post clicking the above url, the official webpage would download.

Post the webpage is available, applicants can see a rectangular box in grey colour with title ‘Notice to Candidates’ in bold black colour, below that they can find another text ‘Candidates may download their admit card by Cliking Here.’

The last two words ‘Clicking Here’ will be written in bold blue colour and applicants must click that.

Education sectorSoon after that a new page downloads where they have to enter their JEE Advanced registration number, date of birth, mobile number and then tick the captcha box and then press ‘Login’ button to download the admit card.

Soon after the admit card downloads, applicants can check for presence of any errors on the details provided on the admit card.

If there are any errors, they can take it to the notice of the authorities concerned for quick rectification.

If no errors are found, applicants can go ahead with taking a print out of the admit card.

PM to address the convocation
There is another worth watching development in connection with Education sector in India.

IIT Guwahati will host its 22nd convocation virtually and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will be the chief guest and address the graduates.

Sources following the Education sector say Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Sanjay Dhotre, Minister of State for Education, Government of India will be the guests of Honor.

Education sectorSarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Assam, will be the special guest.

Sources keenly following the Education sector further say, Dr. Rajiv I. Modi, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Guwahati and Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Director, IIT Guwahati will address the gathering during the event.

Sources following the Education sector say to celebrate the graduate’s accomplishments online through virtual mode, the institute has created a virtual reality-based award distribution where one can experience an avatar of the recipient of the award collecting a medal from Director’s own avatar surrogating him, from the comfort of their home.

The Institute has also created a photo-booth, with an option of different backgrounds, for students to take pictures at some selected locations on the campus.

IIT Guwahati’s faculty and students have developed a telepresence module for a virtual visit to the Institute.
